Beautiful quality pictures. Do you have a fancy camera? My guy bought me one but I don't really know how to use all the functions and things. I need to go to a class!!!
I was not very close at all, love the zoom lens. Never has one been in my back yard. I live in an apartment complex where the apartments are surrounded by a pond and an alligator has found its way in. Management had to have it removed. I wonder why? :)
I don't know if anyone else has done this but I clicked on the pictures to make them full size. WOW! You took some great photos! They are so clear and focused on the subject.
In the second photo when you make it bigger you can really see the moss that is all over him. It almost looks like it's growing on him. Maybe it is. I can't quite tell.
Do alligators come around your apartment complex often? When I was in FL last I had to get used to the little lizards running around everywhere...I was scared I would step on one!
Last year there were cops searching all around my son's preschool area for a BEAR!!! We live in a city of a million people but it wandered in from far away they think....CRAZY!
Due to the drought that we are having here in TX (well not right now due to the almost 12 inches of rain this past week) we have had coyotes and bobcats head into neighborhoods just so that they can find something to eat.

Yep, the picture says it all! Happy WW!
Yikes! That makes me nervous just looking at it!
WHOA!!!! That is a good one!
I hope this isn't your backyard! :)
Where is he? hopefully not in the pool.
Yikes! You're right...no words are necessary.
Please say that it is not in your own yard.
And also please say that you were using your zoom lens and that you really weren't that close to them.
Actually I may need an explaination :) Is that a croc or an alligator? I never can remember the difference!

It's and alligator. These pics were taken with a 35 milli camera - pretty fancy.
Now my question to you is....how close were you and have you ever had one in your yard?
I have several friends that live in FL and some have had expierences with them and some haven't.

In the first picture when you make if full size you can really see the stare in the alligators eyes. It's like he's looking right at you.

Yey for Kim being in the comment lead again, first of all.
Second of all, since it's wordless wednesday there wouldn't be an explination needed, although you did have to explain ;) :D
Also ironic to consider how many words are commenting on Wordless Wednesday....
And as far as the aligator is concerned WOW!!! Crazy!!!!
I know we also have them in NC but have never seen one, thankfully!!!
The only "wild life" I've seen at all here is dolphins, that was super cool :)
I did hear we had a great white off our coast in July though O.o YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Freaky!!!!!
That is one cool alligator!
So what is the difference between an alligator and a croc anyway?

Although now that I think about it my grandma said that if you step on their tail it breaks off and they grow a new one!!!
